Chris Metzler - Syren Chef

Originally from Cincinnati, Ohio, Chef Chris Metzler’s interest in cuisine was sparked while cooking alongside his mother and grandmother as a child. He went on to pursue a culinary degree from the Culinary Institute of America, during which time he completed an internship at Bayside restaurant in Naples. Chef Chris returned to Naples after finishing his schooling and spent the next twenty-seven years at the helm of Culinary Concepts’ suite of restaurants, including Chops, Pazzo, and Yabba, to name a few. During that time, Chef Chris honed his skills and, along with Owner Chef Skip Quillen, helped shape the trajectory of the Naples dining scene. Chef Chris is a dedicated culinarian, a mentor, and a teacher to his staff. Chef Chris has a next-level approach to kitchen systems and organization; he is gifted with the ability to adapt to all situations, doing it all with his patented smile. The Syren is truly fortunate to have Chef Chris leading the culinary team.
